Στο νέο Ναό

Σήμερα τα παιδιά του πρωϊνού Σαββατιανού Κολεγίου μας επισκέφθηκαν το νέο Ναό μας.

Θαύμασαν το νέο αυτό ιερό απόκτημα της Κοινότητάς μας και έδειχναν όλα πολύ χαρούμενα.

Όλοι μαζί ψάλλαμε το Απολυτίκιο του Προστάτη Αγίου του Ναού και του Κολεγίου μας, Αγ. Παντελεήμονος του Ιαματικού.

Με στεντόρεια φωνή επίσης ψάλλαμε και τον Εθνικό μας Ύμνο.

Παρούσα στην όμορφη αυτή και συγκινητική τελετή ήταν και η 87-χρονη ποιήτρια κα. Βικτώρια Αναστάση, η οποία απήγγειλε για τα παιδιά μας ένα ωραίο ποίημά της, αφιερωμένο στον Κ.η.Ι.Χ.

Μια ιστορική ημέρα

Σήμερα το βράδυ γράφτηκε κατά κάποιον τρόπο ιστορία στο Ελληνικό Κολέγιό μας.

Στη διάρκεια του διαλείμματος τα παιδιά και οι δάσκαλοι μεταφέραμε όλα τα καθίσματα από τον προσωρινό Ναό μας στο νέο βυζαντινό Ναό.

Ο λόγος είναι ότι, παρότι δεν είναι ακόμα έτοιμος για την λατρεία, βρίσκεται σε τέτοιο σημείο, όσον αφορά την ανέγερσή του, που μπορούμε να τελέσουμε μέσα σ’ αυτόν την πρώτη Θεία Λειτουργία.

Αυτό θα γίνει μεθαύριο Κυριακή, 20 Ιουνίου 2010, 9.30 π.μ. - 12.30 μ.μ.

Για τον λόγο αυτό μεταφέραμε απόψε όλα τα καθίσματα κι αύριο θα μεταφέρουμε τραπέζια, παγκάρι, προσκυνητάρια και ό,τι άλλο χρειαστεί.

Όταν ολοκληρώθηκε η μεταφορά των καθισμάτων τα παιδιά κάθισαν για λίγο σ’ αυτά και απόλαυσαν πνευματικά την ωραία εμπειρία να βρίσκεται κανείς σε ένα παραδοσιακό βυζαντινό Ναό.

Κατόπιν σταθήκαμε όλοι όρθιοι και ψάλλαμε με μεγάλη δύναμη ψυχής το Απολυτίκιο του Αγίου Παντελεήμονος και τον Εθνικό μας Ύμνο.

Ήταν μια μοναδική εμπειρία, που θα μείνει για πάντα βαθιά χαραγμένη στις ψυχές των παιδιών και των εκπαιδευτικών.

Ευχόμαστε και προσευχόμαστε να μας αξιώσει ο Άγιος Θεός μας να εισέλθουμε σύντομα για μόνιμη εγκατάσταση στο νέο Ιερό μας Ναό.

Today in the morning session of our Hellenic College we had a nice Celebration of the National Anniverseries.

Friday Celebrations

On the Friday Hellenic College we had a special Celebration tonight in order to commemorate the two National Anniversaries: 25th March 1821 and 1st April 1955.

Celebration of the National Anniversaries

1. Οn next Friday 26th March 2010, at 7.30 pm, we shall have in the Church of St. Panteleimon a special Celebration to commemorate our two National Anniversaries, 25th March 1821 and 1st April 1955. The Teacher of Year 5 Mrs. Stella Koupadi will deliver the Panegyric Speech.

2. After the Celebration we shall give out the Progress Reports for the 2nd Term. The parents are kindly requested to go to their children’s Classes, get their Reports and talk with the Teachers about their Progress. That will be the last day of the 2nd Term. Our College will close for 2 weeks for the Easter Holidays and will open again on Friday 16th April 2010.

1. Οn next Saturday (morning) 27th March 2010 all pupils will come at 10.00 am as normal. At 11.15 am we shall have in the Church of St. Panteleimon a special Celebration to commemorate our two National Anniversaries, 25th March 1821 and 1st April 1955. The Teacher of Year 1 Mrs. Andri Kiriakidou will deliver the Panegyric Speech.

2. After the Celebration we shall give out the Progress Reports for the 2nd Term. The parents are kindly requested to go to their children’s Classes, get their Reports and talk with the Teachers about their Progress. That will be the last day of the 2nd Term. Our College will close for 2 weeks for the Easter Holidays and will open again on Saturday 17th April 2010.

The Teacher of Year 4 Mr. Christos Papakyriakopoulos will deliver the Panegyric Speech.

2. After the Celebration we shall give out the Progress Reports for the 2nd Term. The parents are kindly requested to go to their children’s Classes, get their Reports and talk with the Teachers about their Progress. That will be the last day of the 2nd Term. Our College will close for 2 weeks for the Easter Holidays and will open again on Saturday 17th April 2010.

And the winner is...

This afternoon we had in our Community premises a Backgammon Competition, organised by our Hellenic College Parents’ Committee (Chairman: Dr. Serafim Kiriakidis), in financial support of our College.

Many people had taken part in the Competition.

The atmosphere was really very joyful.

1st winner was Mr. Demetris Xioutas.

2nd winner was the Treasurer of our Community Mr. Soteris Constantinou.

The Ladies of the Parent’s Committee had organised a very delicious buffet lunch.

Bambos Charalambous of the Awards of London (Talbot House, 204-226 Imperial Drive, Middlesex HA2 7HH) had sponsored the trophies.

The final contribution made by the competitors towards our College’s expenses was £450.
